Gilman Library is pleased to offer the “Your Digital Footprint” Computer Workshop, a series of three modules developed by PC Handyman, Don Campbell. This workshop is scheduled on three consecutive Saturday mornings, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM on March 23rd, March 30th, and April 6th. Should there be weather closings, the sessions will be postponed to the following Saturday.
Pre-registration is required and you must let us know in advance if you will need the use of a loaner laptop during the workshop. The class is limited to fifteen students and a commitment to participate in all three sessions is expected.
The curriculum will include but is not limited to
· Module One: Introduction to digital footprints, Browsing history
· Module Two: Cookies, Managing your online identity
· Module Three: Consequences of digital footprints, Tools for reducing your digital footprint
The ninety-minute Saturday sessions will be conducted in the Agnes Thompson Meeting Room, on the lower level of the Gilman Library at 100 Main Street, Alton. To register visit the library or call 603-875-2550, during open hours.
